Pakistan Necklace – Wear Your Heritage With Pride

A Pakistan necklace is more than jewellery – it's a declaration of where you come from. The map of Pakistan, the crescent and star, the colours green and white: with a necklace from d'origine, you carry your Pakistani roots right where the world can see them. Our Pakistan Collection includes necklaces for men and women as well as a phone case – all crafted from premium 316L stainless steel and backed by a 365-day guarantee. Whether you grew up in Lahore, Karachi, Birmingham, New York or Frankfurt: this necklace connects you to your heritage. At d'origine, people from more than 40 countries show where they come from.

What Do the Crescent and Star on the Pakistani Flag Mean?

The Pakistani flag features a white crescent and five-pointed star on a dark green field, with a white stripe along the hoist. Green represents Islam and the Muslim majority, while the white stripe symbolises the country's religious minorities – a deliberate emblem of diversity and tolerance embedded in Pakistan's founding vision. The crescent stands for progress, the star for light and knowledge. The flag was adopted in 1947 at Pakistan's independence and is based on a design by Amiruddin Kidwai. Pakistan itself is an acronym: the letters represent Punjab, Afghania (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Kashmir, Sindh and Balochistan – the five regions of the country. The region's history stretches back millennia: the Indus Valley Civilisation with its cities Mohenjo-daro and Harappa (c. 2600–1900 BC) was one of the great civilisations of antiquity – contemporary with Egypt and Mesopotamia. Mohenjo-daro in present-day Sindh is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Pakistani Jewellery: Mughal Gold, Gemstones and Craft

Pakistan has one of the most diverse jewellery traditions in South Asia – shaped by Mughal, Persian, Central Asian and South Asian influences. Under the Mughal Empire (1526–1857), the region's goldsmithing reached its zenith: intricate Kundan setting (gold with gemstone inlay), enamel work (Meenakari) and Jhumka earrings remain characteristic of Pakistani jewellery to this day. Peshawar and Lahore were centres of gemstone processing for centuries – Pakistan remains one of the world's most significant exporters of emeralds, rubies and sapphires from the mines of Swat and Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan's vibrant truck art culture – the colourful, elaborately painted lorries – has also become a jewellery and fashion motif. At Pakistani weddings, jewellery plays a central role: the bride wears elaborate sets of gold, gemstones and pearls, often over several days. In the diaspora, jewellery with Pakistani motifs serves a special purpose: the map around the neck makes belonging visible.

Material and Quality of Our Pakistan Necklaces

Both necklaces in our Pakistan Collection are made from premium 316L stainless steel – rust-proof, waterproof and scratch-resistant. The Pakistan necklace for men features a chain (56 cm in gold, 65 cm in silver) with a bold pendant showing the map of Pakistan. The Pakistan necklace for women comes with a finer 40 cm chain plus 15 cm extension. Both are available in 18K gold-plated or high-gloss polished silver. Unlike cheap fashion jewellery that tarnishes within weeks, 316L stainless steel maintains its shine permanently. All products come with a 365-day guarantee. Each necklace is delivered in a premium jewellery box – a perfect gift for Eid, weddings or Independence Day on 14 August.

Pakistan Necklace in Silver or Gold – Which One Suits You?

Gold holds extraordinary significance in Pakistani culture – at weddings and family celebrations, gold jewellery has been the most important gift for generations. The gold version of our Pakistan necklace honours that tradition: the 18K gold plating on 316L stainless steel gives the map a warm, rich glow. The silver version offers a cooler, more modern look – perfect for everyday wear. Both variants are waterproof and allergy-friendly. Alongside the necklaces, we also offer the Pakistan phone case with the map design for all popular smartphone models.

Buying a Pakistan Necklace – What to Look For

If you're looking to buy a Pakistan necklace, pay attention to three things: material, craftsmanship and chain length. For material, 316L stainless steel is the best option – medical-grade steel that neither rusts nor tarnishes. For craftsmanship, check the pendant: the map outline should be cleanly worked and the relief clearly defined. For chain length: men's 56 to 65 cm, women's 40 cm plus extension. At d'origine, you order directly from our shop – no middlemen. We ship worldwide: free shipping within Germany, free across Europe on orders over €25, and affordable international shipping to the US, Canada, UK, Australia and beyond.

How Many Pakistanis Live Abroad?

The Pakistani diaspora is one of the largest in the world, estimated at over 9 million people – compared to a home population of roughly 230 million. The United Kingdom hosts the largest Pakistani community in Europe at approximately 1.5 million, concentrated in Birmingham, Bradford, Manchester and London. The connection dates back to the colonial era: Pakistan was part of British India until 1947. In the United States, around 500,000 Pakistani Americans reside, primarily in New York, New Jersey, Houston and Chicago. Saudi Arabia is home to approximately 1.5 million Pakistani labour migrants, and the United Arab Emirates around 1.2 million. In Germany, an estimated 100,000 to 150,000 Pakistanis and their descendants have settled. A Pakistan necklace is, for many, a daily sign of that connection – quiet, but unmistakable. At d'origine, we understand this feeling, because that's exactly why we founded the brand: jewellery that makes heritage visible.
